A graduate of Harvard Law School and Board-Certified Civil Trial Attorney, Joseph has decades of trial experience in complex cases, including aviation disasters and matters involving nursing home abuse and neglect, among many others. He has been board-certified as a civil trial specialist for more than twenty years. After completing a judicial Clerkship with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alaska, Joseph joined the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, led by Warren Christopher. There, Joseph concentrated his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including securities fraud class action defense for Lockheed Aerospace, and intellectual property litigation for Paramount Pictures. After several years representing defendants, Joseph decided to represent those who were injured. In refocusing his career Joseph has achieved great professional and personal satisfaction.
Joseph has taken thousands of depositions and tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts across the country. He is experienced in working with expert witnesses in a wide variety of fields, including aerodynamics, engineering, metallurgy, radar, accident reconstruction, medicine, nursing and economics.
Joseph is based out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In his spare time, he practices yoga, plays flamenco guitar, and teaches his three children.
